Nicole by OPI - All Is Glam, All Is Bright

Today I have one of the new Nicole by OPI Holiday shades to share with you; I think it might be from the Kardashian-themed holiday collection, but I can't remember if it had the little tag it usually has on it to identify it as a "Kardashian Kolour", and I honestly don't care. I always wince a bit when I realize I'm looking at a Kardashian-inspired lacquer and prefer to block that aspect out all together and focus on the pretty colours. ANYWAYS. All Is Glam, All Is Bright is a very lovely ultra-fine glitter polish featuring a lot of white gold/silver glitter, red glitter, and what looks like a smattering of steel blue/grey glitter. Very interesting combination, and I really like it. It would be opaque on it's own in several coats, but here you can see two coats over my Sally Hansen Taupe Pearl Chrome manicure from the other day.

Before I leave you today, can we talk about the name?

Blech. A nice polish like this deserves a less vapid name. I think this might be one for Stupid Nail Polish Names

  1. This reminds me a little bit of Designer De Better?

    1. A little- although in person they are a bit different, I think. The super fine sugar-like glitter in this is different from the foil texture of Designer de Better, and whereas the OPI has copper flakes in it, this has red glitter instead. But overall, yeah, probably similar! I think it looks more similar than it really is because I layered it over the chrome polish.

    1. Haha, I wish they would come out with more non-Kardashian themed polishes (preferably with better names? :P)

  3. I agree! This looks very much like Designer, de Better (the one that looked so nice with Autumn Embers layered on top)!

I'm not sure what this polish looks like without your taupe chrome base but altogether it looks pretty much the same as OPI's polish except that OPI's doesn't have that neat blue glitter.

    Very pretty!

    1. I'll have to do a comparison of the two! I think this will look quite a bit different from Designer De Better once I show it by itself (the chrome base makes it look a lot more foil-like, when it's really micro glitter in a clear base).

    2. PS: Autumn Embers + Designer De Better was a killer manicure- I loved it!! :D Time for you to start a blog, maybe? "Legal Lacquer", perhaps? ;)

  4. Looks similar to Designer De Better but with blue glitter! And that Sally Hansen chrome seems to be a pretty good base for layering it!

  8. That would be lovely for a night out! The Kardashians should just start their own line. Or start Kasdashian by OPI.

    1. It was indeed lovely for a night out! :D I actually wore this mani to Jersey Boys. It felt like a good combo, overall. But yeah, what a vacuous name. :P

    3. It was so much fun! I was worried that I wasn't the target audience, but I was totally into it. Very fast paced, and pretty funny, too. Singing was awesome, of course.
