Just in time for October: a trio of sinister and vampy lacquers. All feature black bases packed with jewel-toned flakey shimmer and a dash of ultrafine metallic glitter. This trio is inspired by the Three Unforgivable Curses (drawing inspiration from Harry Potter).
Left to Right: Avada Kedavra, Cruciatus, Imperius
Swatched side by side on a swatch wheel (all lacquers are opaque by themselves in two coats):
Left to Right: Avada Kedavra, Imperius, Cruciatus
First up we have Avada Kedavra, a lacquer that contains greenish gold shimmer that flares in the deep black lacquer base. A deadly -and fittingly serpentine- combination!
Imperius is an insidious mixture of glinting silver and blue shimmer particles in a black-as-night base.
Cruciatus: malevolent flashes of red and violet shimmer in a blackened base.
The entire Unforgivable Curses Trio is now available in the Pirate Polish Etsy store (individually for $10, or as a set for $27). You can also find Pirate Polish on Facebook, if you're interested in keeping up to date on new releases!
What do you think of my new trio of shades? Is it something you might be interested in sporting this Fall and Winter?
Top to Bottom: Imperius, Avada Kedavra, Cruciatus. Thumb nail is Cruciatus.
Super vampy colors. I like!

ReplyDeleteOHMYGOSH HARRY POTTER POLISHES??? Probably the only theme aside from Shakespeare that would make me NEED polishes.
ReplyDeleteEdit: Sorry for deleting my previous comment, my computer made me think I'd posted it twice and so I deleted and then saw that I had only actually posted it once and NOW I AM EMBARRASSED.
Hahaha, no worries, Georgia! I've totally done that before, and then been all "OMG, now I have to explain why I deleted my message!!". LOL. And I'm glad you're digging the Harry Potter theme! :D Hmm, and now I'm pondering what Shakespeare-themed polishes would look like...
DeleteAwww, they look so mysterious and interesting, super for fall and winter..
ReplyDeleteThank you, Maria! :D Glad you like them!
DeleteI agree with Maria, they look so mysterious... And they are all beautiful! :-)
ReplyDeleteI find that in nearly all things, it's wise to agree with Maria- she's very wise herself, after all. ;) And thank you, "mysterious" is very much what I was going for!
DeleteSuch a cute idea! Nice execution of it too, perfect for Fall! They seem kind of similar to the new A-England polishes?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sandi! And I'm flattered by any comparison to A-England. :D I think the main differences might be that I used big flakey shimmer particles to give these colour (the base is black, not tinted), and also added in a bit of ultrafine glitter. I'm glad you think these are perfect for fall!
DeleteWhat a great idea for a mini-collection!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Karen! I'm happy that you like it!
DeleteYou have such cool ideas.... after my no-buy for a couple of weeks I'll head over to your store!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jenni! I think I'm blushing- I'm so glad you like my ideas! :D
