Gosh Galaxy

I've got a short and sweet post for you today- this is Gosh Galaxy, a sparkly and complex mixture of pewter-y taupe with multicoloured shimmer (including particles of blue and pink and flashes of gold). It has a similar finish to Zoya Fei Fei and other related colours. In fact, it reminds me a little bit of The World Is Not Enough from the OPI Skyfall collection, except more brown in tone.

What do you think?

Oh My Gosh Baby Blue + CrowsToes Bunny Slope

I've become a huge fan of the Oh My Gosh polishes; they're cheap (albeit smaller than a full size polish) and great quality. Definitely a good way to get a few good staples in your collection- they are all creme polishes in mostly straightforward colours, but from what I've seen, the formula is outstanding. Today I have Oh My Gosh Baby Blue to show you: probably the only baby blue creme you'll ever need. This was perfect in two coats, and application was a breeze.

How soft and perfect is this? I love it!

I thought Baby Blue would make a great base for CrowsToes Bunny Slope, a silver/white glitter topcoat. I recall seeing Jennifer from Little J's Nail Corner do a manicure using a pale pink as a base for this, and I thought a pale blue might be similarly pretty. I think I was right!

Soft and snowy looking, like fresh powder. Bunny Slope is an appropriate name for this!

What do you think of this combination? Have you tried any of the Oh My Gosh polishes, or any lacquers from CrowsToes?

If you want to see other Gosh polish swatches, click here- I highly recommend both Baby Blue as well as Cobalt Blue, which is a real stunner. I've seen Gosh products at Shopper's Drug Mart in Canada, but I'm not sure where they can be purchased internationally. I ordered my bottle of CrowsToes Bunny Slope from Llarowe. At the time of posting, Bunny Slope is currently in stock- grab it quick if you've been lemming it!

Oh My Gosh Cobalt Blue + Pirate Polish Treasure Chest

This is Oh My Gosh Cobalt Blue, a gorgeous and pigmented cobalt blue, with a somewhat jelly-like finish. This was ridiculously shiny; perfection! And all for about $5. I won't say anymore, because the pictures really say it all.

I topped Cobalt Blue with a gold glitter bomb of a polish, Pirate Polish Treasure Chest (created by yours truly). Treasure Chest boasts a multitude of gold glitters in various sizes, including a good deal of holographic gold glitter. There are also large red and holographic orange hexagonal glitters (the "gems" in this treasure chest, of course).

Here it is in a blurry picture to show off all the holographic glitter:

Overall I'm digging this combination- Oh My Gosh Cobalt Blue is an absolutely gorgeous base for this, and Treasure Chest is extremely blingy and a lot of fun to wear.

I picked Cobalt Blue up at my local Shopper's Drug Mart, where there seems to be a permanent display of the Oh My Gosh colours. Treasure Chest is available in my Pirate Polish Etsy store! I'm also excited to announce that all weekend long, a 15% off coupon code will be available- just use "LaunchParty15" at checkout. I'm hosting the official Pirate Polish Launch Party tomorrow evening, but of course not everyone can attend in person; hopefully this discount code will help a bit with shipping costs for anyone interesting in ordering!

You can also find Pirate Polish on Facebook, if you'd like to keep up to date on future announcements and releases!

Oh My Gosh - Nude Champagne

Recently I've noticed new Gosh brand mini lacquers showing up in stores; they have their own display, and have "Oh My Gosh" written on them. They're only a few bucks a pop, but that's to be expected for the smaller 5ml size. I decided to pick up a couple to try, and the first one I have to share with you is Nude Champagne.

Nude Champagne is a putty/beige creme. The formula was nice, and covered in two coats. I like that this neutral leans more to the grey side of beige rather than the pink; overall, I'm quite satisfied with it. It works with my skin-tone, which can sometimes be hard to find in a beige.

This last picture was taken under indoor lighting and reads a bit warmer than it was in real life.

Have you come across the "Oh My Gosh" minis? I also picked up a baby blue and a deep cobalt blue to share with you. What do you think of this nude shade? Do you like to wear neutrals like this?
