Dollish Polish - Hip Hop Hippity Hop

Today I have a Dollish Polish lacquer to share with you- this is Hip Hop Hippity Hop, a very Easter-appropriate pastel pink with several shades of tiny round glitter in it:

This is two coats, and while the formula was a little thick, it was still manageable. The base colour is a somewhat berry-leaning cool pink (it reminded me of berry yoghurt, strangely enough). It contains a lovely mixture of small raspberry pink glitter, and tiny reflective blue and green glitters. Overall, it's a really pretty effect, and kind of gives a jelly sandwich appearance because of the glitter showing through the milky base.

As I mentioned, this is obviously a very Easter appropriate lacquer, and even though I hadn't yet received it at the time Easter weekend came around, I don't mind one bit because it's really lovely. I know what will be on my nails come Easter 2013!

Finally, I just wanted to mention that I spent some time re-organizing my nail polish collection yesterday. Over the last couple years my collection had become increasingly jumbled (as well as increasingly -alarmingly!- large) and although vaguely organized by colour it had become rather difficult to find anything. Therefore, a re-organization was warranted. This time I decided to organize by brand... and well, it might seem absurd, but I really love seeing them all lined up together in formation. Like little battalions of troops, all uniform and standing next to each other. It's pretty awesome.

How do you organize your lacquers? And what do you think of Dollish Polish Hip Hop Hippity Hop?

    1. It can be so frustrating to try and get your hands on these indie polishes! I'm crossing my fingers for you, and I hope you'll get the ones you want soon!

I recently built my own polish rack. I youtubed DIY polish rack. SO EASY! And really affordable! Check it out! <3

    1. Haha, I think I made myself hungry for yoghurt and fruit! Seriously, mocha yogurt + strawberries and blueberries = heaven. Love it. And I'll check the DIY polish rack out- that might come in handy!

    1. I hope you'll be able to get it- it's been so hard to try and stalk the indie polish shops in order to get them. And when they do open, they sell out so quickly...

  4. Gosh, this is adorable! But I am getting to sick of indie polishes because I just don't ever have the opportunity to get them anymore...no time to stalk down the stores :/ I really want her GTL polish!

    1. I wish there was a better method to getting indie polishes... any ideas? Maybe like a lottery thing? Hmm. It does seem unfair for those wishing for these lovely polishes to have to jump through hoops to get them.

    2. I think they should just take requests somehow from girls who are willing to take the time and email them! But of course, I don't know how it all works exactly so I'll just wait for the hype to die down...

    3. The way Llarowe is handling the Lynnderella orders seems to be working okay now... the people who know what they want can go on the waiting list and will eventually get what they want, even if it takes time. I think it's a better system than just putting them up on the website and selling out instantly.

  6. This is such a cute color! I haven't seen a Dollish Polish yet that I haven't liked! What do you use to organize your polish? I have mine in shoe boxes, but it's an organized jumbled MESS that's in serious need of organization. I can't find anything!

    1. I've been using these craft supplies drawers from Michael's (they have been dubbed "Melmers" because of their resemblance to Ikea's Helmers). They have three drawers, and are the perfect height for a bottle of nail polish. You can stack them on top of each other for easier storage, too. I highly recommend checking it out! They're frequently on sale, and at about 50% they only cost about $20. They're pretty easy to assemble, too. Definitely look into it! I'll have to post a picture of mine sometime soon... Hope this helps!

    1. Thanks! And I might have to work up to posting stash photos- LOL, I still have reservations and a bit of "polish shame" about the number of bottles I have. I'll definitely post a pic sometime soon of my polish/crafts/work desk made out of Melmer drawers, though. Then everyone can guess how many drawers are filled with polish, hahah!

  8. I have nail polish racks and a melmer. I have those huge cheapy plastic see-through containers for random supplies and untrieds.

    1. I used to have the plastic containers, but I was so happy to get the melmers- they look much nicer, in my opinion. And I like that they're opaque- hides any disorganization inside! :P
