China Glaze OMG Holos

Today was a sunny day- and because I can't bear the thought of "wasting" a sunny day by not swatching a few holos for you all, I wanted to share the polishes I own from the China Glaze OMG collection. This is a collection of particularly beautiful "linear" holographic lacquers, of which I have six to share with you.

Left to right, this is OMG, LOL, DV8, BFF, 2NITE, TTYL

I remember seeing pictures of these when I first started becoming more interested in nail lacquer- after seeing swatches of them I could hardly believe that such an effect was possible in a nail polish! Then I began to track them down (a few through ebay, and a few more at a local nail salon where they were gathering dust on a shelf).

Here they are on the nail:

2NITE, TTYL, BFF

BFF,TTYL, 2NITE

 LOL, OMG, DV8

DV8, OMG, LOL

Okay, I have to admit, while I love these polishes I kind of hate their names. I find it hard to remember which is which, and I'm not a fan of this kind of shorthand to begin with, so that doesn't help.

What do you think of these polishes? Do you own any of the lacquers from the OMG collection?

  1. They are gorgeous - and you are SO right - sun and swatching holos are a great match :)

    1. Have you tried any of the China Glaze holos? I have always wanted to try the other CG holos, the kaleidoscope ones. They seem to have more of a scattered holo than the OMG ones do. Would be interesting to compare them in person!

  2. Aww I am so jealous! I love those holos - and I'd love some sun! They are beautiful polishes.

    1. Thanks! And hopefully there will be more sun to go around for everyone, soon. Can't wait for summer to be here!

  3. Super jealous. I have been trying to track down the OMG and Kaleidoscope collection through ebay, blog sales and anywhere else I can find. What's really nuts is it's getting close to impossible to find the pink version of BFF. I even tracked down a cheap bottle of OMG--the one that goes for $60 on ebay but the pink version of BFF? Nope. You're so lucky to have caught these!

    1. Thanks! I bought half of these a couple years back from a seller on ebay, and actually they weren't so expensive then! And the ones I found at a small local salon were just a couple bucks. I guess I got lucky!
