I Aim to Misbehave is a plummy purple-red colour with tonnes of glitter in it. I definitely recommend doubling up on a thick top coat in order to smooth it out. This is two coats, with plenty of Seche Vite topcoat.
I like this polish, but I do find myself wishing it was more of a jelly base, in order to let more of the lovely glitter shine through. I found it was getting covered up by the base a little too much for my taste, making it look a bit bumpy.
Finally, I want to leave you with a couple more pictures of a Nerd Lacquer polish I reviewed earlier, and which I have no reservations about... this is Warrior Ethos, glittery jelly red perfection!
Beautiful shades :)

Thanks. :)
DeleteI love love love loveeeee Firefly!! AM so jealous, I want some nerd lacquer!
ReplyDeleteHaha, me too, and now I'm going to have to watch the series over again. So good!
DeleteNerdLacquer! I wish she'd open up again :D
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's such a hard thing to get your hands on some of these indie polishes. Hopefully it will be easier to get in the future!
DeleteI miss Firefly SOOO MUCH! I watched the video you posted and it just gave me goosebumps and got me all choked up...it's been so long (yes, I am one of THOSE people lol). Speaking of Firefly, I just started watching Dollhouse...Joss Whedon is SUCH a genius! About the polish...I'm not as crazy about it as I am about the reference...:/
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched Dollhouse- when it first came out it had mixed reviews. Should I be watching it? How does it rank in awesomeness next to Firefly? And I agree about this particular polish- more fond of the name than the colour.
DeleteI'm not sure about why the reviews were mixed, it's definitely captivating to me! The whole dollhouse idea was intriguing...and living in LA, I'm not sure if this is based off a real LA myth or just an idea for the show. It's definitely not as awesome Firefly (nothing ever is), but I think it's worth a shot. Especially since the first time I saw Firefly, I didn't get into it until I really paid attention!
DeleteI'll check out Dollhouse when I get the chance- I could definitely use a Joss Whedon fix! Thanks for recommending it!
DeleteWarrior Ethos is clearly the favorite of those two, I think you are right about the jelly...
ReplyDeleteYeah, it seems like in a base that is too opaque or frosty all the glitter becomes bumpy looking. Which is a shame!
DeleteI want Warrior Ethos so, so much!
ReplyDeleteIf I get the chance, when Nerd Lacquer goes on sale again I'll order an extra Warrior Ethos for you. I know how hard these polishes are to get ahold of!
DeleteThey're both pretty but warrior ethos is stunning!
ReplyDeleteAgreed about Warrior Ethos! It's a total stunner.
DeleteI LOOOOOVE Warrior Ethos. Definitely adding it to my wishlist! I Aim to Misbehave is pretty too, but I agree with you it would be better as a jelly. How have I never even heard of Firefly? I'm going to have to watch it now!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely should watch it! The sooner the better. ;) I'm sure you'll love it.
