Tonight's post will be a quick one- this is Sally Hansen Blue Frosting, a new-ish shade from the Diamond Strength line. Here I've layered one coat over a dark blurple shade (I thiiiink it's Essie No More Film, which is usually my go-to shade for layering). The finish on this reminds me a bit of the Sally Hansen HD polishes, and features a similar type of flakey shimmer (and in this case, some impressive duochromatic range). This shifts from blue, to purple, to teal. I'm very happy with this- it's pretty eye-catching in person.
I'm intrigued to see Sally Hansen bust out some fun duochrome polishes, especially in the Diamond Strength line which I typically write off as a snooze-fest when browsing the cosmetics section. It's something a bit unexpected, but definitely welcome. What do you think of Sally Hansen Blue Frosting?
Oh I love how that looks! I wonder how it would look over a lighter colour.
ReplyDeleteI'll put that on my list of things to try! I'm curious now, too.
DeleteIt's very beautiful and interesting!
ReplyDeleteMuch agreed- thanks!
DeleteWow didn't expect that from this line! It's actually interesting!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to see some variety in the Diamond Strength line- usually they're all sheer pinks!
DeleteThis really is pretty! Drugstore polishes like SH have really upped their game lately, haven't they?
ReplyDeleteThey have! I'm loving all the variety we've been seeing!
DeleteThat's really pretty! I love the purple/blue duochrome!
ReplyDeleteHappy new year! Hope your 2013 is off to a great start! :-)

I have a perpetual weakness for duochromes, especially the purple/blue ones! And happy new year to you, too! :D
Deletewow that's gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! This nail color is so pretty. I super like the color and how it reflects. It looks so elegant and classy which is perfect for any occasion. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like it so much! It is pretty amazingly reflective and awesome!
DeleteI didn't buy any of these but they look stunning in the bottles at the store. The shimmer looks really strong in your photos, pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely strong in real life, too! Such a fun polish. Quite sheer on its own, though- best for layering.
