I didn't think Bordeaux would be this amazing. I'd heard good things, but in the end I figured, hey, it's just another red polish.
But actually, it's not. It's an unusually awesome red lacquer with a streak-free jelly finish. It has a fantastic formula, and it's really the perfect deep wine-coloured red. Behold!
Glossy red perfection in two coats. I'm sorry it took me this long to give Essie Bordeaux a try! I'm really happy with this red, and I think it's the perfect one for my skin tone. Reds can be tricky that way, sometimes clashing with the undertones in your skin... but I think this one is great.
Have you tried this polish? Are there any other fantastic reds you would recommend?
I agree, it looks great on you :)
ReplyDeleteIt's the perfect red!
ReplyDeleteI agree! I was so pleasantly surprised.
DeleteOooh I have a Sally Hansen dark red called Brilliant Bordeaux. Always haunts my dreams, I love it. Especially since the first time I wore it, I was actually in Bordeaux! (Believe or not, I did not plan it that way...) Oh now I feel the need to post about it! I love reds so much :) I'm not crazy about Essie polishes though...
ReplyDeleteYay for accidentally coordinating lacquer with travel! That's a great story, by the way. I can't wait to see your blog post about it- do include some pictures of your time in Bordeaux! I love seeing "extra" pictures when people blog about their manicures.
DeleteExcellent idea, I will do that :)
DeleteGorgeous! I love Geranium by Essie which is a more orange red!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to put it on my list of Essies to try!
